Probably would be better to let the light run in the day, and turn it off at 
night.  Your leopards may be more likely to use the retained heat in the 
gravel then.  Like I said, if you wanted to put a pile of grave though, you 
could glob a large pile with silicon.  I would probably individually glue 
the outer pebbles though, so you couldn't see the silicon.  Just a thought, 
but it would require a lot of patience :).  TC
