I read the paper Revision of the genus Ebenavia Boetteger
(Reptilia:Squamata:Gekkonidae) today. In this, Raxworthy and Nussabaum give
rise to the possibillity of extended the genus Ebenavia into mainland Africa
if P. peringueyi were to be included in the genus. This paper appeared in
1998, have any developments arisen since then? Furthermore, they also state
that claws are indeed present in both Ebenavia species on the hind limbs of
females. Has anyone having kept E. inungius taken note of this?

An other interesting thing in the paper is the east-west distrubution of the
genus. Is the the same with Uroplatus? Do not guentheri, malahelo, malama,
and even phantasticus occur in the SW-portions of the country?

Tony, if you read this, what was the paper that placed Uroplatus into its own
family (I'm guessing Uroplatidae) that is most like Chamaeleonidae?
