Cryptactites peringueyi has been assigned to its own genus based on
a suite of unique characters. I have not read the Herpetologica
article on Ebenavia so I won't comment on that but I think that the
convergence of natural history and behavior between C. peringueyi and
E. inunguis is fascinating. They both occur (at least some of the
time) in littoral environments! C. peringueyi occurs on tussocks in
coastal estuaries in coastal South Africa. Pretty cool.

Rac> Tony, if you read this, what was the paper that placed Uroplatus into its own

Goerge Boulenger's "Synopsis of the families of existing Lacertilia"
in Ann. Mag. Nat. Hist. 5(14):117-122 from 1884.
