Yeah well, you know how international laws work. Sometimes the collection is
illegal but as the animals are not on CITES, there is no problem bringing
them in.. (as in say importing Costarican species into Europe) . Or captive
breds have somehow gotten legitimacy. Basicaly, the fact that it is not
legal to catch and import Phelsuma nigristriata does not mean that would not
happen.. And anyway there are lots of species in the hobby that would not
have been there if the rules and regulations would have been followed. As a
law abiding citizen, I should be opposed to that, but as a hobbyist, I 'm
glad with it. Gives me the chance to see a Chlamydosaurus face to face, or a
Phelsuma nigristriata for that matter..
