I've worked with many of the Gonatodes and Sphaeros, and in fact do so at
the present. The key points for Gonatodes: one male/enclosure, vertically
oriented terrarium, naturalistic terrarium, lighting with high intensity
(no UV bulbs), frequent feeding. Sphaero.'s: Be sure and KNOW the sexes
of your animals. Most species exhibit very ritualistic displays by which
the observer can learn the sexes of the animals displaying. Include
leaf-litter, and other "busy" ground level hiding spots.
You're right. Some species will shock you into taking second notice of
this group of fascinating species, Gonatodes particularly.
