Hello Camille,
Glass tanks (even with screen tops) overheat very easily. You will end
up cooking the girl. I would recommend an all screen cage in a shaded part
of your yard and like you said, only on cool days.
You'll still need to feed her as if she were inside. If the screen is
big enough to let in bugs, think of those as extra snacks.
