Jeanna's description of her leopard gecko reminded me of one of the first
crested geckos I hatched out (and which subsequently survived), I don't
recall anything un- usual about the egg, but the hatchling seemed 3/4ths the
size of the few others that had hatched at the time (and subsequent
experience corroborated that she was smaller). The gecko ate, but seemed
frailer and didn't compete well with other hatchlings; also it didn't grow as
fast. Cresteds which hatched six and eight weeks later, for example,
exceeded it in size within two or three months. I finally gave the little one
its own cage, where it has lived until recently. Now it is in a cage with
three other like-sized animals.

What I also think is interesting is that Jeanna mentioned a smaller head on
her leopard. My crested's head is shorter than others, giving it "younger"
appearance.
