Tokays are just like any wild caught gecko. They get scared and will bite
if cornered. The only problem is they are equipped to give a nasty bite.
Mine are not nasty, unless I try to grab them or scare them in some way. In
fact I always service the big cage with the geckos in it. One female is
still very wild and would much rather run and hide then attack.
They are good garbage disposals though. If I ever hatch out a deformed
quail chick they are more than happy to take care of it for me. The male
also likes mice from time to time. I just have to leave the room when they
take down their prey. They can be rather brutal.
