Hi Yuri,
You MUST go to the East Bay Vivarium in Berkeley. The displays are
perhaps dissappointing to some because they are set up with more of the
reptile's needs in mind, not the peering eyes of the customer. They are
clean and well done IMHO- I have been going there for over 20 years. You
may always ask to see the hiding reptile if you are interested in it and
they will dig it out for you. The employees purchased the store about
five years ago, since that time the store went to a new level of
excellence. I have been impressed with their store more than most zoo
herp sections!
The Steinhart Aquarium at the Academy of Arts and Sciences at Golden
Gate Park is also fun, and has a decent herp display.
I am happy to show you around the Gecko Ranch if you arrange it ahead of
time, I am about an hour away from East Bay depending on traffic.
