I think that using distilled water for fish is not suppose to be done as it
is pure hydrogen and oxygen.  If I remember right, distilled water will
leach minerals out of the fish in order to reach equilibrium.  However, this
is with fish, I am unaware of the affects to reptiles.  Just to play it safe
I use reverse osmosis (RO) water.  RO water is a big "to do" out here in New
Mexico as our water is pretty heavy with calcium and other minerals.
