Hi Elizabeth,

I just usually soak only the insides of large tanks. If they need to be cleaned outside I use Quatricide PV - actually I am buying a much cheaper form of this at the household/office supply chain we have here in CA called Smart and Final. Just go to the cleaning section of one of these type of stores and look for the ingredient "Quat" or "Quatricide" - there's no need to pay the outrageous price for this product the herp people want.

Hi Julie,

I appreciate all your tips on keeping geckos healthy!  [Sounds like a great
topic for an upcoming Chit Chat!]  One question here:  Do you recommend
actually soaking the interior/exterior of a tank in a 10% bleach solution for
at least 20 minutes, or do you think spraying the tank's interior/exterior
and leaving it sit...or soaking paper towels in the 10% solution and sticking
them on the sides for at least 20 minutes?  Please elaborate somewhat on this
detail of yours.

Thanks!

After a gecko environment is empty it is sterilized with a 10% bleach
solution
for at least 20 minutes.
