If the disease and/or parasite is not airborne and you have good hygiene this is
not surprising.

This is also not surprising.

It does have to do with the extra metabolism females have to do with the egg
laying. Just because you don't see any eggs doesn't mean a mature female is does
not have elevated metabolism over a male. The no egg thing can happen for many
different reasons, none which eliminate health problems. I have had a breeding
pair of bandeds produce a baby earlier this season and have not found any eggs
the rest of the season, sometimes they dry up before you can find them. It is
possible your female reabsorbed the eggs due to stress.  I have seen males with
disease and or parasites that look perfectly normal compared to females who are
very compromised; all kept in the same set-up.

You're welcome. I would still get fecals done so you can more easily deal with
health issues, if they are still present. Parasites can be especially sneaky and
still may be there.
Don't be fooled by good body condition once something like this has happened and
no diagnosis has been made.
