Hello,
According to USPS in Minneapolis, they are restricting the shipment of
live poultry but not other live animals (like lizards or bugs).
Supposably, Northwest Airlines (who ships out a lot of the Express
stuff from here) is having a problem with bird "waste" getting
everywhere. The USPS manager said that they are concerned about the
lost business with the poultry industry and are trying to find ways to
remedy the situation. This concern, with even a relatively small chunk
of their business, is a good sign and folks that are running into
problems elsewhere should remind their local postmaster how much
business they could lose.
