hi,
just a quick question about my female pictus.  i've been feeding every other day with dusted crickets and she's got additional supplements in a dish in the cage.  she's laid about 2 dozen eggs this season so far with no problems.  the problem stems from the male that's in the enclosure with her.  about 2 weeks ago he became very aggressive with her and bit off her tail.  she would hide and not eat so i removed the male to a separate cage.  there were plenty of hiding spaces, fresh water, lots of space in the original cage and only those 2 geckos.  now that the male has been removed it seems as though the female is still gravid but not laying and she's got a blister-like (water-filled sac) growth in her front right "armpit".  can anybody tell me what this growth might be and why she appears to be gravid but not laying?
thanks,
nathan
