I apologize for yet another off-topic message, but I feel a need to address
what I just read publicly:

I'm in agreement. Diplomacy is not going to stop a terrorist.

You are incorrect. First of all, as of right now, no one is certain who is
responsible - to my knowledge. But assuming that everyone's suspicions are
correct, (maybe they are, maybe they aren't) -- violent, hard-line Islamic
Fundamentalists spilled blood. Comparing them to Muslims worldwide is like
comparing the "God-fearing Christians" of Heritage Front or Aryan Nation
(North American white supremacist organizations with a heavy "Christian"
following, often connected to racially motivated violence) to your average
middle class American who goes to church on Sunday.
Nowhere in the Quran does it say "slaughter thousands of innocents in the
name of God" any more or less than it does in the Holy Bible or the Talmud.
Throughout history, evil and/or stupid humans have taken well-intentioned
religions and twisted them, using them as a wedge for violent, politically
motiviated ideologies of confrontation. This means some humans are evil;
it does not mean any religion is.

I for one, do not see a peaceful resolution in sight, but I also can't find
a clear target for a military resolution...at least not one that will
accomplish anything....yet.

Just make sure you know who's responsible. As for your son's blood...that's
not yours to give. It's thinking like that which on the extreme end of the
scale produces tragedies like Sept. 11.

Retribution is called for. Just be sure of your target.
By the way, I'm an agnostic born into a Christian/Athiest home, not Muslim,
in case you were wondering.
I won't post on this topic again, either. It's all been said and will be
said many more times before events unfold to their conclusion.
