White lined geckos are in the Gekko family, so they take care of their kids for at
least a short while after hatching. They don't guard their babies as zealously as
tokays or green-eyed (smithii) geckos, but they do watch them for a few weeks. It's
perfectly okay to leave the eggs in the tank and uncovered. Let the parents tend
them. Where the hatchlings are concerned, the only likely aggression would be
directed at you for trying to mess with their kids :)

Once the eggs hatch, let the female eat the shells. It's quite normal, and recycles
calcium. Don't mist the eggs, nor try to remove them.

The babies can walk up the glass, so they won't fall to their deaths upon hatching.
>From watching the smithii hatch, I just assume they hatch from the top side of the
egg, and sit there for a while, trying to comprehend what has just happened. I've
never seen one hatch from the side or bottom of the egg, so there's not much chance
they'll fall to the ground.

Just sit back, watch the parents tend the eggs and hatchlings. You're in for a treat.
We don't see many reptiles who behave like a family.
