Anything would be an improvement over what he had!!! You'll be pleasantly
surprised: geckos under stress go down hill quickly - now that the stressors
are gone (other herps, especially the snake!), you'll have a whole new gecko
:)

Now that he's out of that horrible mix, he'll regrow his tail, etc.; he'll
be just fine.

PS - I'd name him Survivor :)
