Hi Listers,

I am forwarding PJ's Hompholis wahlbergii husbandry practices to the list just in case it did reach the list the first time around.  (I failed to see her post to the list this evening.)  All advice will be appreciated.  [We've heard from Lyle a couple times already  :-)  ]

Hello---I purchased my Homopholis Wahlbergi Gecko and enclosure in April of this year. I was told she is four years old and hadn't been fed for three weeks because no one had time for her anymore. She immediately snatched a large mealworm out of my fingers. I immediately put the remaining mealworms in a shallow bowl and from there she ate the rest. She also eats crickets and waxworms. She has no roommates and her daytime temperature is 80-85 degrees. I have changed the substrate and furniture a couple of times and took a fecal sample to the Vet when she stopped being interested in eating. Came back bacterial infection. After about three weeks of not eating I gave her canned Iams and force fed mealies and/or crickets (a suggested try) out of desperation.   I can change back to her old enclosure setup as I did take pictures, and I am taking another fecal sample to the Vet this Saturday.   Not much info out there about Homopholis Wahlbergi Geckos so I am! very much interested in everything and anything I can find out about these guys.  Thanking everyone for their help (Gekkota, Elizabeth and Lyle) and any one else,  PJ    in Seattle

Peace and hope,
