Husbandry sounds fine (even though I don't know this species), and I applaud
her for assist feeding just to get something in there.

My question is, to say that the fecal came back with a 'bacterial infection'
is too broad: there are some pathogens that are ***supposed*** to be there,
normal flora, and anything really out of the ordinary would be considered
the source of infection.

Did the vet mention what he found, and what are they treating it with? The
reason I'm asking is because some antibiotics can wipe out the normal flora
as well as the good, making it look like there's more going on then there
actually is (like a person being treated for a dental abscess, and they get
wicked diarrhea from the antibiotic - making them miserable as well as still
sick! :(

I apologize if this has already been asked and answered; missed a few
responses.
