Hello everyone.

This is my first post in the forum, so I hope it isn't to clumsy.

I have always wanted geckos, and now, 12 years from originally wanting them,
am in a position to buy some. I am an Australian so hopefully some Aussies
on this list might be able to help me with some information. I live at
Ballina, on the far north nsw coast.

I have two tanks I bought specially for geckos. They are both 1.5 feet long
(50 cm roughly). I have decked one out with soil, tropical plants, and
sphagnum moss so it has a good humidity content and is very tropical. The
other I garnished with course washed river sand, and a desert plant. I have
climbing branches available for each tank should they be needed, and have
ordered hides for them. My task now is to find a tropical gecko, and a
desert gecko.

I like just about everything in the Dip. Species, and most of the velvets. I
am able to get a Bynoes, and I believe they are found in the desert. So now
here is my problem. Can anyone suggest suitable animals to house in the tank
sizes I have, in the environments I have. I believe because of the tank
size, I am only able to get one animal for each tank?

I am fairly nieve to gecko's, having really concentrated on dragons. Any
help / advice that people can provide would be extremely helpful.

With thanks

Rhianna
