I've used a similar technique with Lexan as the divider.  Lexan can be
heated and shaped so you can create a "rolling" type of bank, if you will.
Most applications use a small enough piece of Lexan that so I can usually
just buy a scrap or remnant from the local glass shop.  Scratches are of no
consequence for this application.
