[Gecko] Vermiculite revisited

I've been incubating eggs on vermiculite for over a decade without any problems, but I have been unable to find it at the local nurseries.  I've never had any problems using it as an incubation medium, and, quite frankly, I don't have any experience with other possible alternatives (i.e. perlite, peat moss, etc.).  Can you guys find it anywhere?   Any suggestions?  Will asbestos contamination always be an issue with vermiculite?  What are you guys using to incubate your eggs?     Thanks,  Nathan S.
