Hi Joe,

Until recently, most digital photos we were receiving were
far lower quality than needed for print, so we had not been encouraging
digital submissions. With the improvements in digital cameras over the last
year or two, the quality has greatly improved. In most cases, a good
2+ megapixel
image would do given the dimensions of Gekko (a larger publication
would require
a larger file). A 1.3 megapixel file might work for half page or
smaller photos,
but would not be large enough to blow up to full page size. A lot
will depend on the
quality of the photo.

I will gladly check photos to see if they will work in advance of submitting
material for Gekko (e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED]).

I hope this helps and thanks for your interest.

Best wishes,
Neil
