Hi everyone,
My leopard gecko, who was pregnant, layed 1 egg on Monday. I was there when she layed it,and i put it in the incubator right away. I waited for her to lay her second egg, but she didn't. I felt her stomach, and I didn't feel an egg. Then today (friday) I see that she layed the other egg. I don't know when she layed it, but it had to be between 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm. Unfortunately it had collapsed, fluid had leaked out, and the top was hard. Since I thought she was finished laying her eggs, I took out the moist vermiculite I had in the tank. So she layed it right on the sand, and I sprayed the sides of the tank around 8:30 am. So it wasn't very humid.
My first question is is it normal for leopard geckos to lay their eggs 4 days apart.? If so, could the egg have collapsed in 4 hours from being too dry? Or was something wrong with that egg or her delivery? Any answers would be much appreciated. Thanks.
Jill
