I generally don't handle geckos.  Especially species that "freak-out" so 
much.  Keep in mind that this species is a skin-sloughing species and if 
you handle it there is a good chance that it will tear its own skin off to 
escape.

You said it's 9 inches eh?  Is that with a full tail?
