Hello All,
I wanted to announce that the new GGA photo page is now online on the
Global Gecko Association's website http://www.gekkota.com . The new Photo
page format is a cooperative venture with Peter Uetz's EMBL Reptile
Database, and follows its taxonomic tree for the Infraorder Gekkota. We feel
this will make the photo page more educational and help to show the
diversity of Geckos.
The objective also being to have one of the most complete and coherent
resources available anywhere on the web. You may notice upon browsing the
new pages there are many species that do not have a link to photos.
Therefore if anyone has a photo of any species not represented already they
can they send it in to help improve the completeness of the pages.
Submissions should be sent to [EMAIL PROTECTED] in jpg, or tiff formats
with a minimum size of 300 X 200 pixels at 72dpi.
Many thanks to all the people who have previously submitted photos for the
site, and a special thanks to Jon Boone and Peter Uetz for all their help in
making the new Photo Page a reality. Thanks should also go out to all GGA
Members whose membership dues keep the website up and running for everyone's
benefit.
There are additional improvements still in the works for the website and I
will keep the list informed as things progress.
