There's the Tortoise Trust list too, with losts of knowledgable people. 
I have some experience with turtle eggs, though not that species. 
Usually they start out translucent.  Then if they are good, after a few
days they form a whiter band around the middle of the eggg.  Then the
whole egg becomes opaque like the band.  If you candle them early you 
would see yellow -- the yolk -- and then later you should see blood
vessels forming.  So yours sounds good!
