What to expect and when?
My female Oedura castelnaui laid two eggs in her hide on 3-2-02. Then a third egg appeared on 3-23 (my birthday gift, I guess) but was just laid in the open. I buried the third egg in the hide. Tonight, for the first time, I uncovered the first two eggs as well as the third. The 3-2-02 eggs are large, especially one of them, and yellowish. The third had darkened, collapsed, and was empty on examination. I've kept the temp between 78 Fand 90ish since the first eggs were laid. I left the first two eggs where they were laid and reburied them under the substrate 50-50 of Jurassic Reptile Sand and peat moss. Any chance the first two eggs might be fertile? How long before they might hatch?
The parents are in the same cage as the hide. Any problem there?
