Title: RE: [Gecko] My females clutch

Sarah,

From my understanding the eggs must feel somewhat like a marshmallow. A good way to tell if your egg is holding a baby gecko is to do a process called "candling", this is when you put a flashlight up to the egg and illuminate the inside to see if there is a baby in there.

Derek,

About your eggs not calcifying.  Are they supposed to calcify as soon as the
female lays them... or are they supposed to be soft and then calcify? My
eggs were totally soft when I found them. One of them actually did calcify
over night and take shape the other one collapsed.  The only thing is that
this one is leathery or rubbery textured.  Is this natural?

Thanks,
Sarah
