After posting this question in my Bibrons gecko post I got to thinking about it and I
thought I'd focus on it.

I have had my spider gecko female for a year and a half. She was a juvenile when I got
her (born the end of 2001). Last year she produced 2 egg clutches until the end of the
season when they dropped to one egg. I didn't think much of it but this season she
began with single egg clutches. There have been three so far (I accidently destroyed 2
of them as I mentioned before). For the first and second clutches this year, she
produced a viable egg followed by an infertile egg a week or so later.

Does anyone have any idea of why this is so? I am a tiny bit worried she might have
some kind of problem in her oviducts or something. She has a lot of extra calcium by
way of powdered cuttlefish bone so I don't think it's that. I might try the vet at
some time but I don't see how he would check for that.

Thanks for any input.

Mike
