What a fantastically thorough report on Daytona '03! We even stopped by Baskin-Robbins after the tasty meal at Sapporo's Japanese Steak House, which, by the way, was very tasty and only averagely priced. I even happened upon the Tuesday, 8/19, fresh Maine lobster special at a nearby Shell's restaurant for only $13.99.
Just want to say that the photo you sent with this first e-mail did not seem to come through for me. Julie, can you try again?
I finally got to meet many folks whom I'd e-mailed since 1997 including GGA members Bob Herrington, Carole Young, and Jon Klarsfeld. Another highlight was networking with gecko folks. Thanks to the support of GGA I met with people who have offered me the geckos I seek!!!
Prior to the show Melody Hartley and I caught five geckos (including a gravid one) and one anole in Key Largo which we did keep for two nights in pop-up screen bug houses which Melody brought from Oregon. I'll bet those critters were happy to be released!!
Just returned to Seattle at 10:30 last night (8/20) and am still on Key Largo time, so that's all for now. Can't wait to see the photos others took of the GGA activities!
