I know this may sound strange, but he may of died and shriveled up? If this
is the case, it may be hard to find him as he/she may look like debris.
This is just a theory of course.
I should ask how large it was, if it was a baby, then the my first
assumption may be right. Also, was it left outside? If so, ants may have
consumed him.

I tried to post a pic of him here to try to ID him, but unfortunately it
never worked. I am about 90% sure he was a baby Texas Banded gecko. Well, we
went out of town for a few days (he had a heat pad and plenty of water/food)
and when we got back.... he was just plain GONE, lol. I haven't the faintest
clue how he could have gotten out (no pads on his feet, just claws, so I
know he couldn't have climbed the glass). He is in a 10 gallon aquarium so
there is no way he could have jumped out, and even if he could get to the
top, it was sealed shut. Anyone have ANY clue how he could have gotten out
and possible ways for retreiving him, if he's lurking about somewhere? I'd
like to find him before our cat does. :/
