I have two female Teratoscincus scincus keyserlingii that go through a false
gravidity (?) at regular intervals. They are going on two years old and
have never been housed with males although the males are nearby. The eggs
produced don't look much like eggs but the females do swell up and appear
gravid. I have to be careful that they receive enough food and calcium
because this process takes a lot out of them much like the real thing. Not
sure if they will do this once they are bred for the first time.
