Since Jim pointed out that the teratoscincus scincus keyserlingii will go through false gravidity periods prior to even been mated. I'll state that they do the same even after being separated from the male for long periods of time. Which I believe may be due to sperm retention in that case, while after awhile it may just be them being gravid without reason.
I have quite a few females now and I've observed a couple displaying that behaviour.
Jim, have you noticed a complete difference in behavioural traits between the males and females?
I've about 21 keyserlingii over here and I find the females are always the ones (even when housed alone.. actually all of my keyserlingii except two hatchlings are now housed alone) to dig tunnels everywhere and rearrange the sand in their terrariums. They're also the ones who are usually out and about, at the front glass and are much more interactive (follow you around, watch everything you are doing, beg for food, more enthusiastic while hunting etc). While the males seem to just lay back in their dens and wait till food comes their way for the majority of the time.
