No, not a good substrate. If you must use a "naturalistic" substrate stick with fine grade sand. The courser the grade the more potential problems with ingestion and sand impaction. Leopards can impact on sand before you know it so be extra observant about their feces and eating habits if you use sand. If they don't feel good they tend to ingest the substrate. My favorite substrate is cage carpet like the "Repticage carpet" - comes in cool colors.
