I don't think that will make tons of difference as the female will lay 3-4 clutches on the average her first season. Typically I hold my young leo females back until late in the season though or until their second year. This is a conservative approach compared to most breeders.

I was wondering if this scheme I have for limiting the number of clutches a female will produce is valid: the idea is to hold off introducing the male until very late in the breeding season. I have a female that I would like to breed but I don't want things to get out of hand.
Thanks, Steve
