No problem.
Hemidactylus triedrus consists of two subspecies. nominate from continental India and
adjacent Pakistan and lankae from SriLanka.
Whilst Minton just writes of "lowland-desert" as habitat ("An annotated key to the
Amphibians and Reptiles of Sind and Las Bela, West PAkistan. Sherman A.Minton jr.
American Museum Novitates No.2081, 1962) Das says "Nocturnal an d terrestrial. it
shelters during day in rock cracks and rodent burrows. inhabits open forests and
scrubland. Diet comprises termites, and also crickets, grasshoppers, spiders and
beetles, and known tzo congregate on termitaria with swarming termite alates." ("A
Photographic Guide to Snakes and other Reptiles of India." Indranail Das, New Holland
Publishers, 2002.) but shows a picture of what I think is actually Cyrtodactylus
(Geckoella) triedrus.
I keep two pairs in terraria of 50x30x30 cm since March now.
They do very well in a dry setup with a few cm red sand, a handful of stacked corkbark
and the daily misting. Daytime temperature bout 28-32C, nighttime might drop to 16C.
Each pair gave me two clutches since then. See what hatches...
