Hello All,

I'm still new to this gecko care giving business. I only want the best for
my lizard. I'm hoping that someone could let me know if it sounds like my
gecko is sick or just being herself. About four days ago she shed (which
seems to have been on schedule as she shed about 2 and a half weeks prior to
this one). She has no trouble shedding and completes the whole process in
a night. It seemed understandable that she wasn't hungry for food the next
evening so I removed the crickets after they were in her cage for some time
(I don't leave them in longer than a half hour as she gets irritated with
them). We're going on the fourth evening without having eaten more than one
large meal worm and one small cricket since the shed. Should I be getting
concerned that she's sick? She's still very active, and begs to come out of
the cage to climb around on my shoulders or lap. If I even put my hand into
the cage to adjust something she runs for it and climbs right out. She'll
look for me through the glass and scratch at the lock on the aquarium doors
(believe it or not, she knows exactly where the lock is and where the doors
open). I never expected something like that from a gecko... shocking how
intelligent they are. I'm wondering if there's something wrong with the
temperature too. There is a cool side and a warm side to her home. She
even has a "wet hut" on the cool side to help with shedding. She really
seems to spend a lot of time in there. The temperature ranges from 70 to 90
degrees from one side to the other. If you have any information for me as
to why she's not eating I would appreciate it. If I'm just overly concerned
let me know and I'll cool my panic attack.

The last thing I want is a sad lizard, and I don't want for her to be sick.

Thanks a lot,
Sarah
