I second that if there were more sp. of Phelsuma readily available, there would be many canidates. Besides the madagascarensis complex already listed, I really also like the Ste. Marie mad. mad.s with the white spots when they're juveniles.
Others that I have found easy in the past are, abbotti, astriata, barbouri (the blue ones are really nice), nigristriata, robertmertensi, seippi, sundbergi complex, standingi and v-nigra. Other geckos would have to include the most popular leos, fat tails, tokays, etc. Crested and other Rhacs are growing in popularity. Uroplatus are not yet regularly available, but are very popular and still difficult for many starters and became protected. Paroedura pictus and other misc ground geckos that were quite popular and may become once again someday. Dipolodactylus, Oedura, Nephrurus, and others like these probably will never loose popularity. There are others that are easy to care for and breed but wouldn't necessarily win any popularity contests. _______________________________________________ Global Gecko Association http://www.gekkota.com Classifieds http://www.gekkota.com/cgi-gekkota/classifieds.cgi gecko mailing list [email protected] http://lists.gekkota.com/mailman/listinfo/gecko
