The GGA List (now the GGA Board List) is just a mailing list.
All e-mails posted to gecko@lists.gekkota.com
(maintained by the webserve that hosts the GGA website) go to each person
subscribed to the list.

Neil
Melody
Alessio (I think he is on this list but he has not responded)
So all you have to do is hit "reply"
E-mail goes to gecko@lists.gekkota.com
gecko@lists.gekkota.com
sends a copy of the e-mail to those subscribed (listed above)
No more cc: or forgetting to put someone "to:"
E-mails can be directed to a separate folder on MSOutlook
Each post is automatically archived.
Those on the list have access to the archives at any time.
It's tidy
Can be private or public (board will be private)
The proposed forum can be the "public" access for all
things GGA. I think this is idea. (PS Financial can be published on the GGA
forum!!!!)
Just me.
Keep in mind that this list is not yet private. Unvoted items
and discussions should be private until they are official.

but as I am not familiar with board lists, you'll have to explain me the basics
in a few words. I would like to limitate the daily amount of e-mails into
people's inbox when some topic/thread does not concern them.

This list is a private message list that automatically delivers
to everyone on the list (board members).
This was how the board used to communicate. The GGA had
two lists: The Gecko List and the Board List. The Board list was
donated. The GGA would have to pay about $10 a month to have a second
list.
Since no one was using the Gecko List, it was converted
(testing) for Board Use. However, it is still public archives so this
list is not ready for Board use yet. Working on that.
Your new forum replaces the old GGA list which is
outdated. Your forum is prettier!

is just a test. The GGA Board List is not yet functional. Archives
still need to be set up.
However,
if you would just respond with a "hello" or another friendly word,
we'll be sure we are hearing from all the right people.
