Hi All, Another interesting format is the Electric's library format. Its quite a comprehensive EDA format from http://www.staticfreesoft.com
I have played with Electric a bit. Its tools are too integrated, making changes to some of the tools are quite a daunting task. However, its library format accomodates most if not all aspects of VLSI design. Bill Cox's gnetman and datadraw libraries could be a starting point. They are intended as a datab se engine for chip design objects, designed by an experienced chip design tool coder, (Bill Cox) John Griessen PS It could be used for a hierarchic approach to pads/footprints/drawings most compact file and data format for large projects like chips, or systems of many PCBs. -- Ecosensory Austin TX _______________________________________________ geda-dev mailing list [email protected] http://www.seul.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/geda-dev ________________________________________________________________________ Check Out the new free AIM(R) Mail -- Unlimited storage and industry-leading spam and email virus protection. _______________________________________________ geda-dev mailing list [email protected] http://www.seul.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/geda-dev
