Hi Dan, I don't know if there is a *real* need/demand from the gerbv user base for this feature.
I for one wouldn't spoil gerbv with dxf functionality, better keep it the *nix way (do only one job perfect) The DXF format is not difficult to grasp, it's just a matter of writing a lot of boiler plate code. I did look at dxflib a couple of years ago and did decide to write my own boiler plate stuff :) What I vaguely remember of dxflib that is was some c++ OOP kind of thing ... if memory serves me well ... maybe I will look again ? I still have to look at the parse_y.y code with more detail. So much to do with only 24 hours a day (and the extra nocturnal hours) :) Kind regards, Bert Timmerman.
