Yes. I am really talking about two screens -- schematics on the left 
screen, layout on the right. Even if I exclusively do schematic capture, 
a multi window GUI is pleasant. I usually have the schematics window 
maximized on the left and let the right screen display the rest like the 
library window, ore the log window.

Firefox style would be ok, though. It lets me drag a tab out of the 
parent window and create a new window. :-)

Protel does this kind of GUI. I worked with it professionally for five 
years. The time to build the respective tab significantly added to the 
"drag" while working with it. We ended up printing the schematics on 
paper and use this as a second screen.
