If gEDA scripting language was Python, we may have been further along. But then, when gEDA first started, I believe there was no other better choice than Guile.(?) For now, we have to work with existing way until at some point gEDA deccide to make that bold step. Scheme/shell script is a workable solution. The gEDA/gaf flexible architecture does make things easier to work with, and I am glad that Alex and other expericenced EDA developers keep reminding others to follow to keep the flexible tradition. > If you can make the gEDA/PCB/gnucap combination work well enough > that 100% schematic driven gives you all the functionality of a > command line, you have my complete support. I plan to use GnuCap/NgSpice from IC design flow point of view, therefore any things come from me may not be specifically targeted for PCB usage. So far, gEDA's generic solutions to both have worked well. I just posted a new tutorial example of gnucap usage, finding the distortion of an oscillator. This example analyzes a simple phase shift oscillator, looking at details like start-up and distortion. You can find it at: http://wiki.gnucap.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=gnucap:phase_shift_oscillator There are more coming. _______________________________________________ geda-dev mailing list [email protected] http://www.seul.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/geda-dev _______________________________________________ geda-dev mailing list [email protected] http://www.seul.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/geda-dev
