I don't object (heh) to GObject as much as I did in the past.
The choices for any major OO project should either be:

1) Use GObject to it's fullest extent
or 
2) Use C++


I don't back option 2) for gEDA/gaf, but if you people want to go
nuts with GObject (i.e. make Object a real GObject or whatever) and 
(most importantly) there is a real user visible benefit, then by all 
means (with proper discussion and review of course).
