Hi again --
The gerbv team is getting close to releasing version 2.1 of gerbv, the
gEDA Project's feature-rich Gerber file viewer.
I would like to ask you to again grab the lastest gerbv out of CVS,
build it, and give it a test on your favorite Gerber files. Some
specific gerbv features which you might find interesting (and need
some testing) include:
* Measure tool.
* Gerber code analysis windows
* Object properties reporting (along with the reports in the
Gerber analysis windows)
* Ability to export Gerber to .pdf, .svg, and .png, both from the
command line as well as from withing the GUI.
* Read-in of bad Gerber (i.e. with some common syntax errors), and
re-export of the same file with good syntax.
The latest gerbv is available by anonymous CVS from the Sourceforge
site:
http://sourceforge.net/cvs/?group_id=33921
Instructions for getting gerbv out of CVS are also presented there.
Please post any bugs or problems you find on this e-mail list
(i.e. geda-dev). Thanks for trying out the latest gerbv!
Cheers,
Stuart
