Dale: ctrl-alt-backspace or ctrl-alt-1 did not elicit any response. ctrl-alt-del *sometimes* worked to bring up th process dialog, in which the keyboard thankfully worked. gtkwave happened to hog all the CPU b/w.
Russ: I have the Intel i815 motherboard with integrated video. Tony (Bybell) has sent a fix: Fixed source is at http://linux-workshop.com/bybell/ver/wave/bin/ in the 1.3.14 tarball. It's not specific to linux..the same hang condition happens on my RS/6000 at work and the only way to recover the machine is either via telnet or ctrl-alt-backspace.
