BRL-CAD is focused on 3D modelling but lacks 2D functions. Last time I checked, the manual didn't even mention a way to obtain a 2D drawing from a 3D model, let alone semi automatic dimensioning. The introduction states: /--------------- Although BRL-CAD has been used for a wide variety of engineering and graphics applications, the package's primary purpose continues to be the support of (1) ballistic and (2) electromagnetic analyses. \---------------- In addition, the user interface is not very intuitive. A simple cylindrical mug takes 14 pages in the manual. ---<(kaimartin)>--- -- Kai-Martin Knaak tel: +49-511-762-2895 Universität Hannover, Inst. für Quantenoptik fax: +49-511-762-2211 Welfengarten 1, 30167 Hannover http://www.iqo.uni-hannover.de GPG key: http://pgp.mit.edu:11371/pks/lookup?search=Knaak+kmk&op=get _______________________________________________ geda-user mailing list [email protected] http://www.seul.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/geda-user
