Hi, I thought that I was able to connect my layout footprints without problems. What I am finding is that with some of the smaller smt parts that I am not able to get the trace close to the pad. I started with TQFP100_14.fp that I pulled into my footprints from the distribution. It has pads defined the old way "Pad(-75 39 -25 39 11 "1" 0x00)" without a clearance and mask defined. I updated it to the new format "Pad[-7500 5800 -2500 5800 1100 300 1200 "" "2" "square"]" and still have the situation that I'm not able to terminate the trace on the pad. Even using the Skinny lines width 5.0 and spacing 5.0 I'm not able to connect to the pad. It is fine with 0603 and soic8 parts. All suggestions will be gratefully accepted. Regards Ian.
