I have attached two shell scripts that I use for getting and updating pcb. Run get_pcb.sh and it will fetch all the pcb files, creating a directory pcb, and putting the files into this new pcb directory. The second is too keep pcb uptodate.[ Ales here, I'm reposting this since majordomo didn't recognize the e-mail as being subscribed to the geda-dev or geda-user mailing list. Wow.
I just loaded the newer version (1.99o) using cvs. I didn't realize that
is is essentially a tarball. All you need is the pcb directory, by
the way. And it all configured and built very easily.
Maybe there needs to be a link on the pcb home page explaining how to do this. It's not difficult, but first I had to load cvs, and then follow the instructions on sourceforge.....And the pcb homepage is still referring to really old versions.
Anyway, the new version looks like a BIG improvement. A few little
annoying defaults that I'm sure I'll get used to. And the movement from
from one side to another is apparently very east. Also, the new lib
is more complete.
Thanks to all who pointed me to this. It looks very useable now.

Hope these help.
